
Mason Leads Ohio Women's Track & Field on Day One of the Clark Wood Invite

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Sophomore Alyssa Mason (Dublin, Ohio) led the Ohio women's track and field team on day one of the Clark Wood Invitational with a first-place finish (17:08.04) in the women's 5,000 meters on Friday, April 26.
Junior Taja Booker (Simpsonville, S.C.) ran an impressive personal-best time of 24.40 in the women's 200m and placed seventh in the event.
Ohio had three runners place in the top 10 of the women's 800m. Sophomore Sara Doughman (South Lebanon, Ohio) came in eighth place with a time of 2:15.03, Ellie Greenwell (Park Hills, Ky.) placed ninth with a time of 2:15.78 and sophomore Sophie Besett (Twinsburg, Ohio) finished in 10th place with a time of 2:16.18.
In addition to Mason, two other Bobcats competed in the women's 5,000 meters. Sophomore Morgan Roth (Brunswick, Ohio) placed seventh with a time of 17:44.17 and freshman Eliza Streit (Plain City, Ohio) finished 16th with a time of 18:08.23.
Junior Millie Ryan (Vincent, Ohio) and senior Jordan Baith (Seville, Ohio) competed for Ohio in the women's shot put. Ryan finished 11th (12.64m/41-5.75) and Baith finished 14th (12.36m/40-6.75).
The Bobcats will conclude competition at the Clark Wood Invitational on Saturday, April 27.
