CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Twenty-one members of the Ohio swimming and diving team have been named to the 2023-24 Women's Swimming and Diving Academic All-MAC Team, the Mid-American Conference announced today (April 17).
In total, 158 student-athletes were named to this year's list.
Miami led the way with 29 student-athletes on this year's team, while Bowling Green (27) and Ohio (21) each had over 20 student-athletes represented on this year's list.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. First-year students and any transfer in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
