Ohio Football's Bradley Weaver Named To Ted Hendricks Award Final Watch List

CHICAGO – Ted Hendricks and the Ted Hendricks Foundation have issued the final version the watch list for the 2024 edition of the Ted Hendricks Award, which honors the top defensive end in college football. Redshirt junior Bradley Weaver (Hilliard, Ohio) is among the 27 names listed on the initial ballot.

Weaver is second in the Mid-American Conference for sacks with eight for a loss of 73 yards. He has recorded a career-high 36 tackles this season, with 12.5 of those being for loss, ranking in the top five in the MAC. Weaver also notched a team-best seven quarterback hurries and one blocked field goal (Sept. 14). Those efforts earned him First-Team All-MAC honors.

Previous recipients include NFL first round picks Laitau Latu, Aidan Hutchinson, Chase Young and Jonathan Allen.

The 2024 recipient will be announced the week of December 16.
