BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Ohio volleyball team (14-14, 10-7 MAC) fell 3-0 (18-25, 17-25, 23-25) at Bowling Green (20-8, 15-2 MAC) on Friday, Nov. 15.
Junior
Anna Kharchynska (Kyiv, Ukraine) tallied a team-high 10 kills and 10.0 points. Sophomores
Kam Hunt (Sylvania, Ohio) and
Olivia Gardner (Macomb, Mich.) recorded eight kills each. Hunt and Gardner also finished with 9.5 and 8.5 points, respectively. Graduate student
Elizabeth Hoerlein (Mason, Ohio) recorded a team-best .500 hitting percentage with six kills on 12 total attempts.
Freshman
Bryn Janke (Westfield, Wis.) led the team with 25 total assists. Sophomore
Kendall Hickey (Fishers, Ind.) tallied a team-high 12 digs.
Bowling Green dominated the first two sets, earning 25-18 and 25-17 victories.
Ohio challenged the Falcons more in the third set. Both teams traded points throughout the set and eventually were tied at 22-22. Bowling Green went on to win the final set, 25-23 and the match, 3-0.
The Bobcats will be back in action at Bowling Green on Saturday, Nov. 16. The match is set to start at 6 p.m. ET.
