ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio volleyball team (10-13, 6-6 MAC) dropped a tough five-set battle (25-20, 25-22, 17-25, 21-25, 13-15) against Central Michigan (19-5, 10-2 MAC) on Friday, Nov. 1.
Junior
Anna Kharchynska (Kyiv, Ukraine) tallied a team-high 20 kills, 22.5 points and four blocks. Sophomore
Kam Hunt (Sylvania, Ohio) recorded 18 kills and 20 points while sophomore
Olivia Gardner (Macomb, Mich.) finished with 12 kills and 12.0 points. Hunt also recorded a team-high 15 digs. Freshman
Bryn Janke (Westfield, Wis.) led the team in assists with 35 total.
The Bobcats started off strong with back-to-back wins in the first and second sets. Ohio took the first set, 25-20 and the second set, 25-22. However, Central Michigan answered back by winning three-straight set. The Chippewas come out on top with a 3-2 win over Ohio.
The Bobcats will be back in action against Central Michigan on Saturday, Nov. 2. The match is set to start at 4 p.m. ET.
