Ohio T&F Record Multiple PR's on Day 1 of Hokie Invite

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Ohio women's track and field team concluded its first day of competition at Virginia Tech's Hokie Invitational on Friday, Jan. 19.
In the first race of the day, sophomore Alyssa Mason (Dublin, Ohio) led Ohio in the mile with an eighth-place time of 4:53.15.
Four Bobcats placed in the top 10 of the women's 3,000 meters with personal-best performances. Junior Theresa Hagey (Akron, Ohio) led all Ohio runners with a second-place overall finish (9:39.15, PR). Sophomore Leila Boussedra (Worthington, Ohio/9:46.97, PR) placed fourth with junior Kelsi Harris (Liberty Township, Ohio/9:47.03, PR) and graduate student Carina Weaver (Lexington, Ohio/10:05.41, PR) following in fifth and sixth place.
Freshman Emilee Baumann (Powell, Ohio) finished sixth in the pole vault with a mark of 3.55 meters (11-7.75).
The Bobcats will conclude competition at the Hokie Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 20.
