Ohio Diving Concludes Buffalo Diving Invite

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Oho diving team wrapped up competition at the 2024 Buffalo Diving Invite this weekend Jan. 12-13 inside Alumni Arena Natatorium. Sunday's competition was canceled due to severe weather in Buffalo.
In the 3m event, freshman Astrid Pichardo (Guanajuato, Mexico) placed 12th with a score of 235.60, after qualifying for the finals earlier in the day with a score of 266.50.
Also, in the 3m prelims, junior Sophie Cooper (Milford, Ohio) recorded a score of 221.85, while junior Grace Matocha (Magnolia, Texas) recorded a 214.00. Freshman Savanna Bos (Cincinnati, Ohio) scored a 209.95.
In the 1m prelims, Bos scored a 184.35, followed by Cooper with a 184.15 and Pichardo with a 180.50.
The complete Ohio swimming and diving team are back in Buffalo on Saturday, Jan. 20 when the Bobcats take on the Bulls and a dual meet. The meet is set to begin at 11 a.m. inside the Alumni Arena Natatorium.
