ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio men's basketball team has released its 2023-24 nonconference slate, head coach
Jeff Boals announced today (Aug. 15).
Ohio opens in the Convocation Center on Saturday, Nov. 4 with an exhibition against Otterbein.
Ohio begins the regular season on Wednesday, Nov. 8 with the
previously released MAC-SBC Challenge matchup with the Bobcats taking on Troy.
Ohio's first road test of the season comes on Saturday, Nov. 11 with the Bobcats heading to Cleveland to take on Cleveland State inside the Wolstein Center. Ohio returns to Athens on Saturday, Nov. 18 when they host Detroit Mercy in the Convo.
Ohio then heads to paradise Nov. 24-26 for the
2023 Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship. Ohio opens the MTE against George Washington at 7 p.m. on Nov. 24. The full event will be streamed on FloHoops.
The Bobcats then return home for four-straight inside the Convocation Center. Ohio hosts Delaware on Saturday, Dec. 2, before welcoming Youngstown State on Wednesday, Dec. 6. The Bobcats came out victorious in last season's matchups with both teams.
Next, Ohio hosts Marshall on Saturday, Dec. 9, before closing out the nonconference home slate on Monday, Dec 18 against Defiance inside the Convo. Friday, Dec. 22 sees the Bobcats head to Clarksville, Tenn. to face off with Austin Peay.
Ohio closes out the nonconference slate on Saturday, Dec. 30 when the Bobcats head to Cleveland, Ohio once again, but this time to face off with Davidson.
The 2023-24 Mid-American Conference schedule and times will be released at a later date.
