ATHENS, Ohio— After a stellar 2023 season, graduate student linebacker
Bryce Houston earned College Football Network Third-Team All-American Defense accolades. He represented the Bobcats on CFN's All-MAC Defense team as well as the Linebacker of the Year.
Houston (Lewis Center, Ohio) leads the defense in total tackles (119) and is currently ranked 16
th among all NCAA FBS athletes. On the season, he's recorded a team-best solo tackles (54), assisted tackles (65), tackles for loss (12.5) and interceptions (3). In the MAC, Houston is fourth in total tackles and third in tackles for loss. The linebacker earned First-Team All-MAC Defense honors and was named MAC East Defensive of the Week accolades twice this season.
Up next, the Bobcats close their 2023 season on Saturday, Dec. 16 at the Myrtle Beach Bowl. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. at Coastal Carolina's Brooks Stadium and can be seen on ESPN. The game can also be heard on the Ohio Sports Network from Learfield.
