ATHENS, Ohio— The Ohio football program added 19 student-athletes to its 2024 signing class during the early signing period, as announced by third-year head coach Tim Albin.

SETH ANSTEAD
OL | 6-4 | 275 | Chelsea, Mich. | Chelsea HS
Hailing from Chelsea, Michigan, Anstead was a three-year starter for Chelsea High School. During his sophomore season, Anstead helped Chelsea to an undefeated season and state championship. In his junior year, the lineman was selected to the All-Region team for his stellar play. As a senior, Anstead was named to the Division 4 All-State team and earned All-Region recognition as well.
BROCK ARNDT
OLB/JACK | 6-3 | 230 | Appleton, Wis. | Appleton North HS
Arndt joins the Ohio football team from Appleton, Wisconsin where he attends Appleton North High School. At North, Arndt earned numerous accolades including FVA Defensive Player of the Year, Linebacker of the Year, First Team All-State honors, and the Wisconsin Defensive Player of the Year. Arndt's leadership helped North limit opposing teams to just 6.7 points per game during his senior year. Arndt is also an impressive wrestler, winning multiple conference, region, and section championships while finishing 3rd and 2nd in state the past two years.
Arndt is the son of Joshua and Kelli Arndt and has two older sisters, Taylor and Sydney. In his free time, Arndt likes to go hunting, snowmobiling, boating, and spending time with family and friends. He plans on studying entrepreneurship during his time at Ohio. His favorite team is the Green Bay Packers and his favorite athlete is Leo Chenal.
STELLAN BOWMAN
LB | 6-0 | 210 | Grand Rapids, Mich. | East Kentwood HS
Bowman comes from Grand Rapids, Michigan where he attends East Kentwood High School. Bowman was a three-time captain at East Kentwood, earning All-State First Team honors as a linebacker twice in his high school career. Bowman was also recognized as an All-Conference selection twice as well as an All-Region selection. During his 2022 season, Bowman broke his school's record for tackles. By the end of his career, Bowman recorded 377 tackles.
Bowman is the son of Corey and Katie Bowman and has two brothers, Peter and Remy. Bowman plans to study construction management during his time at Ohio University. In his free time, Bowman likes to lift weights, go fishing, play rugby, and read his bible.
DUNCAN BRUNE
RB | 5-11 | 195 | Cologne, Germany | Cologne HS
Brune will make his way across the pond to Athens by way of Cologne, Germany. Brune played football for the Cologne Crocodiles, an under-19 American football team in the Junior German Football League. Led the Crocodiles to the U19 German National Championship while averaging more than 12 yards per carry and 200 yards per game. Off the football field, Brune runs track, posting a career-best 10trains with the German national bobsledding team in the offseason. Brune has a career-best of 10.85 in the 100-meter dash.
Personal... Mother, Simone, is a former four-time German Olympian swimmer. Fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Favorite athletes are Christian McCaffrey and Reggie Bush.
MILES CREMASCOLI
WR | 6-3 | 208 | Winnetka, Ill. | New Trier HS
Cremascoli comes to Athens from Winnetka, Ill. He attends New Trier High School and boasts a 3.5 GPA. New Trier's football program has a rich history, dating back to 1902. A versatile athlete, Cremascoli, has played four different positions for the football team – wide receiver, tight end and defensive end – and is a three-sport athlete.
DOM DORWART
WR | 6-2 | 190 | Leonardtown, Md. | St. Mary's Ryken HS
Dorwart comes to Ohio from Leonardtown, Maryland where he attends St. Mary's Ryken High School. In high school, Dorwart played football and ran track, running a 10.66 100-meter dash. In his senior season, Dorwart helped St. Mary's to a 7-5 record and the WCAC Metro Championship. Dorwart was selected to the All-WCAC First Team during his senior year after hauling in 830 all-purpose yards and 11 total touchdowns.
Personal... Has a 4.29 grade point average.
SAMUEL EHRET
DE | 6-4 | 250 | Clearwater, Fl. | Clearwater Academy International
Originally from Germany, Ehret moved to Clearwater, Florida where he attends Clearwater Academy. As a junior, Ehret helped CAI achieve a 10-1 record and its second consecutive Sunshine State Independent Association championship. Over the course of his final two seasons at Clearwater, Ehret recorded 23 sacks, 39 tackles for loss, and nine forced fumbles. Prior to Clearwater, Ehret played captained the Freiburg Sacristians, an under-16 football team in Germany. He was named team MVP in 2020 and 2021.
Ehret is the son of Urban and Erika Ehret and has one older sister, Sarah. His cousin, Yannik Keitel, is a defensive midfielder with over 60 appearances for the German Bundesliga club SC Freiburg. Ehret plans to study sport management during his academic career in Athens. In his free time, Ehret likes to play basketball, go to the gym, and travel. His favorite team is the Denver Broncos and favorite athlete is Khalil Mack.
ANDREW ERBY JR.
OL | 6-2 | 295 | Harrisburg, Pa. | Steelton-Highspire HS
Erby Jr. Will head to Athens from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania where he attends Steelton-Highspire High School. A three-time PIAA state champion, Erby is a physical offensive lineman who has been recognized as a First Team All-Conference selection. In his senior year, Erby helped record a 16-0 record en route to the state title. During his four years at Steelton-Highspire, Erby helped his team to a combined 49-4 record.
Personal... Has a twin brother, Alex, committed to play quarterback at Navy. Was coached by his father, Andrew Erby Sr., in high school.
JT HASKINS JR.
S | 6-1 | 170 | Lexington, Ky. | Bryan Station HS
Haskins Jr. comes from Lexington, Kentucky where he attends Bryan Station High School. Haskins Jr. was a four-year starter at Bryan Station and helped the school return to the state championship for the first time since 1999. Haskins Jr. recorded 55 tackles and seven interceptions on the defensive side of the ball during his senior season, earning his second All-State selection. He added more than 900 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns during his senior season.
Personal... Haskins Jr. is the son of Hailey and JT Haskins Sr. and has two younger siblings, Justin and Jaidyn. His dad played college football at Louisville and is the current defensive coordinator at Bryan Station.
KADEN HURST
WR | 6-1 | 170 | Leo, Ind. | Leo HS
Hurst will head to Athens by way of Leo, Indiana where he attends Leo High School. A multi-time letter winner, Hurst had a career year during his senior season. He helped Leo win both Sectional and Regional Championships and led his team to the state semifinals. Hurst was a factor on both sides of the ball, recording nearly 1,000 total yards and 15 touchdowns, while adding five interceptions.
JASEN KELLY
LB | 6-1 | 205 | Toledo, Ohio | Whitmer HS
Kelly is from Toledo, Ohio where he attends Whitmer High School. The linebacker was a three-time letter winner and was a multi-time All-District selection. During his junior season, Kelly was named to the All-State First Team. He followed it up with an All-State Second Team selection after making 126 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, and three sacks. Scorebook Live recognized Kelly as one of the best 20 linebackers in the country during his senior season.
Personal... Has a younger brother, Johnathan.
TONY MATHIS JR.
S | 6-0 | 175 | Macon, Ga. | Westside HS
Mathis Jr. will head north to Athens from his hometown of Macon, Georgia. Mathis Jr. was a four-time letter winner in football, three-time letter winner in track and field, and two-time letter winner in baseball at Westside High School. He was named captain and was recognized as a First Team All-Region selection during his junior and senior seasons. He recorded three interceptions, blocked nine kicks, and made 229 tackles during his high school career. He was also awarded the Defensive Back of the Year three times during high school.
Mathis Jr. is the son of Karla and Tony Mathis Sr. Mathis Jr. has two sisters, Kaylyn and Parker. He plans to study sports medicine during his time in Ohio. In his free time, Mathis Jr. Likes to work out, play video games, and listen to music. His favorite teams are the Baltimore Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles and his favorite athlete is LeBron James.
AJ MILLER
TE | 6-4 | 220 | Pickerington, Ohio | Pickerington North HS
Miller will travel down Route 33 from Pickerington to Athens. The Pickerington North product was a standout performer for the Panthers, being named a team captain and recognized as an All-District Second Team and All-Conference First Team selection during his senior year. Miller recorded more than 500 yards and six touchdowns in his final season, helping his team compile an 11-2 record. Miller also played basketball for Pickerington North and was a four-time Distinguished Honor Roll member.
Miller is the son of Brett and Kelly Miller and has one younger brother, Ryan. His parents both played collegiate athletics. Brett played football at Wittenburg, while Kelly played basketball at Eastern Michigan. Miller's aunt, Lori, played women's basketball at Ohio, graduating in 2001. Miller plans to study business during his time in Athens with plans to become an entrepreneur. His favorite team is the Cleveland Browns and his favorite athlete is LeBron James.
DJ MORTON
S | 6-1 | 175 | Indianapolis, Ind. | Lawrence Central HS
Morton will head east to Athens from his hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana. The Lawrence Central High School product was a leader for his team, being recognized as an All-State and All-Conference performer. Morton recorded 50 tackles and 11 pass breakups during his senior season, helping Lawrence Central to their best seasons in recent years.
BRYCE PARSON
OL | 6-4 | 275 | St. Louis, Mo. | Christian Brothers College HS
Parson comes to Athens from St. Louis, Missouri where he was a standout player at Christian Brothers College High School. A versatile offensive lineman, Parson was a three-time First Team All-Conference selection. He helped his team win back-to-back state championships during his sophomore and junior seasons. During his senior season, Parson helped CBC return to the state championship game for the third consecutive year. In his high school career, Parson and his team compiled a 41-7 record.
MAX RODARTE
WR | 6-0 | 185 | Sacramento, Calif. | City College of San Francisco
Rodarte is from Sacramento, California where he attended Capital Christian High School. The wide receiver spent the last season at City College of San Francisco where he was recognized as an All-Conference and All-Region First Team selection. Rodarte was the leading receiver for CCSF in 2023, with 45 receptions for 790 yards and nine touchdowns. At Capital Christian, Rodarte was an All-Conference performer in offense and defense.
NICK SEGARRA
TE | 6-6 | 225 | Charlotte, N.C. | Charlotte Catholic HS
Segarra will join Ohio Football by way of Charlotte, North Carolina where he attended Charlotte Catholic High School. A tight end with a big frame, Segarra helped Charlotte Catholic make deep runs into the state playoffs during his high school career. He was selected to play among the best players in North and South Carolina in the 2023 Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas.
PARKER STARTZ
LB | 6-3 | 225 | Chicago, Ill. | Mount Carmel HS
Startz comes from Chicago, Illinois where he attends Mount Carmel High School. Startz was the captain and leader of the Mount Carmel defense, earning his conference's Defensive Player of the Year award and being recognized as an All-State First Team selection. He was a driving force in the team's back-to-back state championships. During those two seasons, Startz helped Mount Carmel record a 27-1 record.
HUNTER THOMPSON
WR | 6-3 | 205 | Ijamsville, Md. | Oakdale HS
Thompson will make his way to Athens by way of Ijamsville, Maryland. Thompson broke countless records at Oakdale High School and capped it off with a state championship in his final game. Not only did Oakdale complete their 14-0 season, but Thompson recorded 15 receptions for 269 yards and four touchdowns in the game. Thompson was recognized as an All-State player for Oakdale and was a key contributor not only on offense but defense and special teams as well.
