Ohio Wrestling Takes Down Cleveland State

CLEVELAND—The Ohio wrestling team returned to action today (Feb. 5), defeating Cleveland State 27-12. The Bobcats are now 8-3 overall and 4-2 in the MAC.Â

Redshirt senior Kyran Hagan (Eureka, Mo.), redshirt sophomore Jordan Slivka (Indianapolis, Ind.) and freshman Zayne Lehman (Akron, Ohio) won by forfeit at 141, 157 and 184, respectively. At 149 pounds, redshirt senior Alec Hagan (Eureka, Mo.) entered overtime against No. 30 Marcus Robinson; a takedown secured his 3-1 sudden victory.Â

Freshman Sal Perrine (Northfield, Ohio) made a comeback at 174 pounds, winning by a 10-5 decision after falling behind his opponent. Sophomore Jordan Greer (Avon, Ohio) finished the match with an 8-3 victory by decision at 285 pounds.Â

In an extra match at 285 pounds, redshirt junior Jordan Earnest (Wadsworth, Ohio) won by decision, 8-1.Â
