ATHENS, Ohio -- It's Thanksgiving week, but it's also a thrilling week ahead in Athens, with a win-and-in situation for Ohio football, and the first ever Bobcat Battle for men's basketball in the Convo. Check out what's ahead for Ohio Athletics in this week's Paw Prints.

The Ohio football team (8-3, 6-1 MAC) returns to Athens on Tuesday, Nov. 22 when they take on Bowling Green (6-5, 5-2 MAC). Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET at Frank Solich Field at Peden Stadium. The game can be seen on ESPNU with Connor Onion and Craig Haubert on the call.
The Bobcats' matchup can also be heard on the Ohio Sports Network from Learfield. Russ Eisenstein returns for his 15th season as the "Voice of the Bobcats" and will be joined by Ohio alum Rob Cornelius, who has been a part of the broadcasts for two decades.
It's a win and in situation for Ohio. With a win over the Falcons, Ohio will be crowed MAC East Champions and clinch a spot in the 2022 MAC Football Championship Game on Dec. 3 in Detroit, Mich.
The Bobcats and the Falcons have met 73 times since 1945, with an overall record of 30-41-2. The two teams last met for the final game of the 2021 season. A rushing touchdown and a field goal in the second quarter gave Ohio a brief 10-3 lead, but they were unable to the Falcons' offense.

The Ohio men's basketball team (1-3) is back in action for two games this week for the 2022 Bobcat Battle hosted by the Bobcats inside the Convocation Center. Ohio kicks off the event on Friday, Nov. 25 when they take on Eastern Illinois (0-4) at 2 p.m. inside the Convocation Center. Ohio then wraps up the weekend on Sunday, Nov. 27 at 2 p.m. when they take on Alabama State (0-5).
Eastern Illinois and Alabama State will face off on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m. inside the Convo.
The Bobcat Battle is organized by RPPI. RPPI has organized over 850 sports and entertainment events across nearly 40 years of being in business. The history of RPPI dates back to its founder, Russ Potts, serving as the first sports marketing director in the history of college athletics at the University of Maryland. A pioneer in the world of sports, Russ served as the Athletic Director at Southern Methodist University (SMU) followed by a stint as Vice President of the Chicago White Sox before founding Russ Potts Productions, Inc. Russ later served for 16 years in the Senate of Virginia.
Currently RPPI is led by President, Zach Franz and VP of Business Development, Adam Syprzak, and specializes in the organization and promotion of live sports and entertainment events. Additionally, RPPI's focus expands to consulting in the areas of athletic facility management, corporate sponsorship sales, group travel and various business development roles on behalf of its clients.
Ohio is coming off a thrilling game at 20th-ranked Michigan on Nov. 20, where Ohio forced overtime with the Wolverines at the buzzer, before falling by the final of 70-66 in Ann Arbor.

The Ohio women's basketball team (0-4) is back in action for this weekend after a few days off for the holiday. Ohio is back on the road to the state of Indiana on Saturday, Nov. 26 when they head to Terre Haute, Ind. to take on Indiana State (2-1) tip-off is set for 1 p.m. and can be seen on ESPN3.
