ATHENS, Ohio -- James Washbish has been hired as an assistant coach for Ohio's swimming and diving program, head coach Mason Norman has announced.
"James brings an energy and passion to our program at Ohio that I believe the athletes already enjoy," Norman said. "I have followed his development over the last few years as a person and as a coach and have witnessed first-hand the positive impact he has made on the athletes and programs he has been a part of. I am excited to see what James will add to the culture and growth of our student-athletes in and out of the water."
Washbish joins the Bobcats with six years of coaching experience, including three different recent head coaching positions. Washbish's most recent experience spans several different coaching experiences, including the head swim coach at Lafayette High School since October of 2019.
