IOWA CITY, Iowa —The Ohio field hockey team (1-5) returned to action on Friday, falling 8-0 to No. 2 Iowa (5-0).
The Bobcats took two shots from
Ashley Willbur and
Tasmin Williams while the Hawkeyes fired 33 shots with 24 on goal. Ohio goalkeepers
Nele Graner and
Macy Lotze made 16 saves. Graner made 11 saves with six goals allowed and Lotze saved five shots with two goals.
Ohio had one penalty corner attempt in the second quarter and faced eight from the Hawkeyes. Ellie Holley led Iowa with two goals, six other Iowa players scored one goal each.
The Bobcats will take the field again in Iowa City on Saturday (Sept. 11) against Saint Louis at 3 p.m. ET.
