ATHENS, Ohio â€" Ohio takes third place out of nine teams and 112 runners at the Virginia Tech Alumni Invite in Blacksburg, Va. on Friday (Sept. 16). The Bobcats scored a total of 63 points right behind Virginia Tech and Liberty University.
The first five Ohio runners finished in the top 30 led by Michael McKean (Pataskala, Ohio) finishing the 8K in 25:06.5 to take ninth place.
Next in line for the Bobcats was Kyle Bussard (Germantown, Ohio) in 19th place at 25:19.6, Alex Wind (North Canton, Ohio) in 21st at 25:28.0, and Zach Zimmerman (Pickerington, Ohio) in 22nd at 25:35.4.
The Bobcats plan to head to Cedarville, Ohio on Friday, Sept. 30 to race at the All-Ohio Championships starting at 2:45 p.m.
