125 â€" No. 16 Shakur Laney vs. Aaron Assad
Sophomore Shakur Laney (Canal Winchester, Ohio) fell to Aaron Assad by technical fall, 16-1, in the first match of the day. Laney trailed 2-0 after the first period, but Assad scored two and four point near falls, an escape and scored two takedowns in the next two periods to take the match.
133 â€" Cameron Kelly vs. No. 9 Jaydin Eierman
At 133-class, sophomore Cameron Kelly (Bellbrook, Ohio) was taken down by No. 9 Jaydin Eierman 1:20 into the match and lost by fall 27 seconds later (1:47) to the top-ten opponent.
141 â€" Noah Forrider vs. Zach Synon
At the 141-class, it was a hard-fought battle between junior Noah Forrider (Marysville, Ohio) and Zach Synon of Missouri. After a scoreless first period of the match, Synon earned two minutes of riding time in the second and scored an escaper to third. Forrider earned a point when Synon grabbed his singlet, but Synon was awarded was awarded a point for riding time and took the dual with a 2-1 decision over Forrider.
149 â€" Kade Kowalski vs. Alex Butler
Redshirt freshman Kade Kowalski (Nashport, Ohio) dominated his dual against Alex Butler en route to an 8-1 decision. Kowalski landed two takedowns and a two-point near fall to go along with an escape and a point from riding time to the take the 149-class match.
157 â€" Cullen Cummings vs. No. 6 Joey Lavallee
In the 157-class, redshirt junior Cullen Cummings (Woodridge, Ill.) landed the first takedown of the match at 2:05. No. 9 Joey Lavaelle of Missouri took the match overmatch landing seven takedowns across the second and third frames as Cummings fell to Lavaelle by a 19-9 major decision.
165 â€" Austin Reese vs. No. 4 Daniel Lewis
Redshirt sophomore Austin Reese (Urbana, Ohio) fell in his 165-class match to No. 4 Daniel Lewis by technical fall 18-2 in the third period.
174 â€" Arsen Ashughyan vs. Dylan Wisman
At the 174-class, redshirt sophomore Arsen Ashughyan (Vanadzor, Armenia) fell by an 11-3 major decision to Dylan Wisman. Wisman scored two takedowns in the first with Ashughyan earning an escape as Ashughyan trailed 4-1. Wisman controlled the rest of the match earning three more takedowns and an escape as Ashughyan landed his lone takedown early in the third.
184 â€" Nate Hall vs. Matt Lemanowicz
Sophomore Nate Hall (Lewis Center, Ohio) saw his first dual action of the season. Hall battled Matt Lemanowicz throughout the match. After a scoreless first frame, Hall earned a point for an escape after starting on the mat to begin the second. However, Lemanowicz scored a takedown with five seconds left in the second period to take a 2-1 lead. Lemanowicz scored an escape to start the third as Hall fell by a 3-1 decision.
197 â€" Devin King vs. No. 1 J’Den Cox
Redshirt sophomore Devin King (Thornville, Ohio) fell in his match to No. 1-ranked J’Den Cox by a 19-4 technical fall in the second period. King earned four points from escapes, but Cox controlled the match with six near fall points and six takedowns.
285 â€" Zack Parker vs. Austin Meyers
The final match of the dual pitted redshirt sophomore Zack Parker (Felton, Del.) against Missouri’s Austin Meyers. Parker dominated the match earning a takedown in each period, including a pair of takedowns in the first and third periods. With the benefit of earning a point from riding time, Parker took the dual by a 12-4 major decision.
