COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Ohio track & field team finished fourth at the Buckeye Classic inside Ohio State's French Field House on Friday (Jan. 9).
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Ohio track & field team finished fourth at the Buckeye Classic inside Ohio State's French Field House on Friday (Jan. 9).
The Bobcats posted top-five finishes in eight events on the day.
Ohio was led by sophomore Taylor Smith (Canal Winchester, Ohio), who won the high jump with a mark of 1.65 meters.
Freshman Courtney Guiley (Louisville, Ohio) and sophomore Anna Michael (Lebanon, Ohio) finished fourth and fifth in the 60-meter dash in times of 8.11 and 8.19, respectively.
Guiley and Michael placed third and fourth in the 200-meter dash in marks of 27.37 and 27.79, respectively.
Freshman Kaitlyn Logan (Granville, Ohio) finished third in the 600-meter run in a time of 1:42.57, while junior Hayley Stegemiller (Lebanon, Ohio) placed fourth in the 800-meter run with a performance of 2:22.59.
Junior Kristin Winkel (Avon Lake, Ohio) posted a fifth-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 9.12.
Junior Erika Armstead (Cincinnati, Ohio) placed third in the long jump in a mark of 5.27 meters and fifth in the triple jump in a performance of 10.38 meters.
The Bobcats will have two weeks to prepare for the Tom Wright Classic, which takes place in Bowling Green, Ohio on Jan. 23.
