Danny Nee coached four consecutive 20-games-or-more winning basketball seasons in 1983-84-85-86. Never in OU basketball history had there been two 20-game win seasons back-to-back. Nee’s total coaching record overall was 107-67 (.615). In the MAC, it was 70-38 (.648), placing him fourth. He won the MAC regular title in 1985 with a 22-8, 14-4 MAC mark. He won two MAC tourneys (1983, 1985). He had one NIT appearance and was MAC Coach of the Year in 1983 and 1985 and Cleveland Plain Dealer Coach of the Year in 1983. He had his team in six consecutive post-season MAC tourneys.
