CEDARVILLE, Ohio. – Ohio cross country returns home after a strong day at the Friendship Invitational.
The Bobcat women completed the race with a total of 117 points, coming in fourth behind Cincinnati, Cedarville, and Northern Kentucky. Ohio had one runner finish in the top-20, redshirt senior Madison Sury (Waterford, Ohio) finished the 5K race with a time of 17:58.7, good enough for fourth overall. Just outside the top-20 was junior Meredith Elstun (Fairfield, Ohio), who finished the 5K with a time of 19:22.4.
Competing for Ohio in the men's 8K race were junior Cameron Kinsey (Kettering, Ohio) and junior Matt Gregson (Alpha, Ohio). They finished with times of 27:55.9 and 29:01.4, respectively.
Next weekend the Bobcats take off from competition before traveling back to Cedarville, Ohio to take part in the All-Ohio Championships.
