BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Ohio volleyball team (13-12, 5-7 MAC) fell to Bowling Green (14-10, 8-4 MAC), 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-19), on Saturday evening at the Stroh Center. 

"Its been a long road trip with six of our last eight weeks being away from The Convo," head coach Deane Webb said. "We're glad to get back home and compete in front of our fans next week. Obviously we've struggled the last two weekends, so we look forward to getting back in the gym next week to improve."

Sophomore libero Emma Tupa (Brecksville, Ohio) posted 21 digs in three sets for Ohio. Tupa was impressive all weekend, posting 52 digs in seven sets. 

"Emma (Tupa) was outstanding as our libero this weekend, averaging over seven digs per set," Webb added. 

Ohio had 75 team digs and outdug Bowling Green, 75-74. After Tupa's 21, junior opposite Maggie Nedoma (Brook Park, Ohio) had 13. Freshman defensive specialist Ciara Livingway (Lake Orion, Mich.) and junior setter Vera Giacomazzi (San Vendemiano, Italy) each recorded 12 digs. Senior defensive specialist Meredith Howe (Grand Rapids, Mich.) had seven digs. 

The Bobcats were led on offense by junior middle blocker Tia Jimerson (Sugar Hill, Ga.) with 11 kills. Redshirt sophomore middle blocker Dahlias Bouyer (Brownstown, Mich.) and Nedoma each posted seven hammers while freshman outside hitter Olivia Margolies (Galena, Ohio) had six. Sophomore outside hitter Lauren Park (Millersburg, Ohio) had five kills while graduate transfer Shayla Phillip (Columbia, S.C.) had one. 

Giacomazzi dished out 36 assists and posted her 14th double-double of the season after adding her 12 digs. Ohio had 37 kills as a team and hit .115.

OU posted seven blocks as a team. Giacomazzi had three (one solo, two assisted). Jimerson and Margoles had two each, while Phillip and Nedoma each had a solo stuff.

The Bobcats will be back in action on Thursday, Nov. 9 at the Convo against Kent State. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
