  • Ohio Volleyball's Jimerson Named AVCA All-Northeast Region

    Ohio Volleyball junior middle blocker Tia Jimerson (Sugar Hill, Ga.) garnered 2019 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Northeast Region selection, the AVCA announced on Tuesday (Dec. 10).
  • Ohio Volleyball Places Five On 2019 Academic All-MAC Team

    The Ohio volleyball team placed five student-athletes on the 2019 Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team, the league announced on Wednesday (Dec. 4). Senior defensive specialist Meredith Howe (Grand Rapids, Mich.), sophomore outside hitter Lauren Park (Millersburg, Ohio) graduate transfer outside hitter Shayla Phillip (Columbia, S.C.), junior libero Macy Reihing (Lexington, Ky.) and senior outside hitter Lizzie Stephens (Dallas, Texas) were all named Academic All-MAC.  A total of 77 student-athletes were named to this year’s team.
  • Ohio Volleyball Falls in MAC Tournament Quarterfinals to Ball State

    The Ohio volleyball team (18-13, 9-7 MAC) fell in the Mid-American Conference Volleyball Tournament quarterfinals to Ball State (18-11, 11-5 MAC), 3-1 (25-23, 25-15, 21-25, 25-16) on Friday evening at the Stroh Center.
  • Ohio Volleyball Advances to Quarterfinals of MAC Tournament After 3-2 Win Over Kent State

    The Ohio volleyball team (18-12, 9-7 MAC) advanced to the quarterfinals of the Mid-American Conference Volleyball Championship on Thursday evening after taking down Kent State (14-14, 7-9 MAC), 3-2 (25-14, 19-25, 25-23, 22-25, 15-12) in the first round of the MAC Tournament at the Stroh Center. 
  • Ohio Volleyball's Jimerson Named MAC Player of the Year; Giacomazzi MAC Setter of the Year

    The Ohio volleyball team took home Mid-American Conference Player of the Year, MAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year and MAC Setter of the Year while placing three on the All-MAC First Team, the league announced on Wednesday (Nov. 20). Junior middle blocker Tia Jimerson is the league’s MAC Player and Co-Defensive Player of the Year while junior setter Vera Giacomazzi (San Vendemiano, Italy) was the MAC Setter of the Year. Jimerson and Giacomazzi are joined by junior opposite Maggie Nedoma (Brook Park, Ohio) on the All-MAC First Team.
  • Ohio Volleyball Set For MAC Tournament

    The Ohio volleyball team (17-12, 7-7 MAC) will compete in the MAC Tournament this week. Ohio is the No. 5 seed and will face No. 8 Kent State in the first round on Thursday, November 21 at 4:30 p.m. at the Stroh Center on the campus of Bowling Green State University.
  • Ohio Volleyball's Jimerson and Giacomazzi Earn MAC Weekly Awards

    unior middle blocker Tia Jimerson (Sugar Hill, Ga.) and junior setter Vera Giacomazzi (San Vendemiano, Italy) took home weekly Mid-American Conference awards for their performance last weekend, the league announced Monday (Nov. 18). Jimerson was named MAC East Defensive Player of the Week while Giacomazzi was named MAC East Setter of the Week.

    BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Ohio volleyball team (17-12, 9-7 MAC) earned the No. 5 seed in the upcoming Mid-American Conference Volleyball Tournament, the league announced on Saturday evening. Ohio will face No. 8 Kent State in the first round on Thursday, November 21 at 4:30 p.m. at the Stroh Center on the campus of Bowling Green State University.
  • Ohio Volleyball Clinches MAC Tournament Spot with Sweep of Buffalo

    The Ohio volleyball team (16-12, 8-7 MAC) clinched a spot in next week’s MAC Tournament after earning its third-straight sweep over Buffalo (11-16, 7-8 MAC), 3-0 (25-22, 26-24, 25-23) on Friday evening at the Convocation Center.
  • Ohio Volleyball Wraps Up Regular Season at Home Against Buffalo and Akron

    The Ohio volleyball team (15-12, 7-7 MAC) will wrap up the regular season at home when Ohio welcomes Buffalo (11-15, 7-7 MAC) and Akron (16-9, 9-5 MAC) this weekend. OU will face Buffalo on Friday (Nov. 15) at 7 p.m. and the Zips on Saturday at 5 p.m. 
  • Ohio Volleyball Sweeps MAC East Weekly Awards

    Junior middle blocker Tia Jimerson (Sugar Hill, Ga.) and junior setter Vera Giacomazzi (San Vendemiano, Italy) swept the weekly Mid-American Conference East Division awards for the Ohio volleyball team, the league announced on Monday. Ohio swept both Kent State and Central Michigan last weekend.

    The Ohio volleyball team (14-12, 6-7 MAC) swept Kent State (12-13, 5-8 MAC), 25-15, 29-27, 28-26, on Thursday evening at the Convocation Center. Junior middle blocker Tia Jimerson (Sugar Hill, Ga.) had the second-highest attacking percentage in program history at .857.
  • Ohio Volleyball Returns Home to Face Kent State and Central Michigan

    The Ohio volleyball team (13-12, 4-2 MAC) will return home to The Convo this week to continue Mid-American Conference play to face Kent State (12-12, 5-7 MAC) and Central Michigan (20-4, 10-2 MAC) this week. Ohio will face KSU on Thursday at 7 p.m. and CMU on Saturday at 6 p.m.

    KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Ohio volleyball team (13-8, 5-3 MAC) will hit the road to continue Mid-American Conference play when the Bobcats take on Western Michigan (11-9, 2-6 MAC) and Northern Illinois (6-16, 3-5 MAC). Ohio will face WMU on Friday at 7 p.m. at Read Fieldhouse and NIU on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. ET at Victor E. Court.

    Junior opposite Maggie Nedoma (Brook Park, Ohio) finished with a team-high 12 kills and added three blocks, but the Ohio volleyball team (12-8, 4-3 MAC) suffered a 3-0 (25-20, 27-25, 26-24) sweep at the hands of Mid-American Conference West Division foe Ball State (11-8, 5-2 MAC) this evening at the Convocation Center.

    The Ohio volleyball team (12-7, 4-2 MAC) will return home to The Convo this weekend to continue Mid-American Conference play when the Bobcats take on Ball State (10-8, 4-2 MAC) and Toledo (7-11, 0-6 MAC). Ohio will be at home Friday against Ball State at 7 p.m and Toledo at 6 p.m on Saturday.
