JACKSONVIILLE, Fla. -- Redshirt junior Ashleigh Carr (Oakland, Neb.) of the Ohio track & field team placed 22nd in the quarterfinals of the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:00.71 today at the 2019 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships East Preliminary Round.
On Thursday (May 23), Carr ran a personal-best time of 58.85 in the first round of the 400-meter hurdles, placing 17th and qualifying for the quarterfinal.
In addition to Carr, junior Tajah Haley (Washington, Pa.) and senior Gaza Odunaiya (Athens, Ohio) competed in the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships East Preliminary Round. Haley finished 26th in the first round of the javelin throw with a toss of 45.77 meters. Odunaiya wrapped up her Ohio career with a 40th-place finish in the first round of the hammer throw with a toss of 54.80 meters.
