Athens, Ohio - After months of competition, the indoor track and field season will conclude this weekend at the Mid-American Conference Indoor Championships. The Ohio University women's team will visit host Kent State University to compete in the conference meet this Friday and Saturday (Feb.22 &23).
The meet is scheduled to start Friday morning at the Kent State Field House with the pentathlon and weight throw beginning at 11 a.m. Running events will start at 3 p.m. with 60m hurdles prelims; most of Friday afternoon on the track will consist of prelims before the 5000m and distance medley finals in the evening. Saturday's field events will begin at noon with the triple jump, while track event finals will start at 1:30. The meet will conclude with the awards ceremony at 5 p.m., following the conclusion of the 4x400 relay.

Ohio will send a total of 14 entries (including relay teams) to KSU to compete. The following athletes and events are listed:
400m: junior Ashleigh Carr (Oakland, Neb.)
800m: senior Emily Deering (Geneva, Ohio)
1 Mile: junior Melissa Koziol (Burton, Ohio)
5000m: Atkinson and sophomore Hailey Bowes (Arlington Heights, Ill.)
Distance Medley Relay: Deering, Pierce, Stewart, Carr
Shot Put: sophomore Abby Moore (Rootstown, Ohio)
Weight Throw: senior Gaza Odunaiya (Athens, Ohio) and Moore
