ATHENS, Ohio – Ohio soccer senior Allie Curry was named to the 2017 All-Ohio Second Team. Curry, was also named to the 2017 Academic All-Ohio First team, while fellow senior Hannah Jaggers was named to the Academic All-Ohio Second Team.
Curry earned a 3.36 GPA in sociology criminology and anthropology. The senior forward led the Bobcat squad in offense and is the main contributor to the team's 23 goals, putting in a career-high seven goals on the season and assisting in another two. Curry put 17 shots on goal, earning one game winning goal and was able beat the keeper twice on penalties. Curry played in all 20 matches this season for Ohio. She tied for third in the MAC for points with 12 while also tying for fourth in points per game with 1.09. The Fairfield, Ohio native tied for third in the conference in goals and fourth in goals per game whiling averaging 73.4 minutes per game.
Jaggers (Taylorsville, Ky.) earned a 3.88 GPA and had the second-most goals for the Bobcats this season. Starting 19 of her 20 matches, Jaggers put up five goals through 1,238 minutes, putting 25 of 50 shots on goal. The early childhood education major registered three game-winning goals in her 61.9 minutes per game. Jaggers' five goals tied for eighth in the conference and goals per game while her three game-winners tied for third in the MAC.
