Ohio Soccer Announces Winter Camps

ATHENS, Ohio -- The Ohio soccer team has announced its winter training series in the months of February and March. The camps will take place in the months of February and March of 2018.

Ohio Soccer Winter Training Series
Ages 6-13
Wednesday February 7th - Sunday March 4th; Every Wednesday and Sunday in February
Time: 6:00pm -7:15pm
Walter Fieldhouse, 50 S Green Dr., Athens, OH 45701
Cost: $135 (includes 8 sessions and camp shirt)

The winter training sessions will help to improve individual skill, control, and technical ability through games and training. Participants have the chance to train and learn with college players under the direction of college coaches. The week will be an opportunity to meet new challenges and provide each player with the knowledge and skills necessary to improve individual and team play. Ohio Soccer Camps are run by the Ohio University Coaching Staff with a combined 25+ years of collegiate coaching experience. 2018 Winter ID Camp
Grades 9-12

The ID Camp is open to all female soccer players rising 9th grade and older with aspirations of playing at the collegiate level. The goal of this camp is to provide each player with an experience of what it takes to be successful at the collegiate level.  The camp is designed to replicate the collegiate training environment and to give the players the tools needed to be successful at the collegiate level.  It will utilize field and skill sessions to create a positive learning environment that is both enjoyable and challenging.  

All training sessions will be conducted by Ohio University soccer coaching staff.  Strong emphasis will be placed on improving each player's technical ability under pressure and their tactical awareness.  Individual creativity will be strongly encouraged in an effort to keep each player confident and determined to discover success within the game. Goalkeepers will go through specific goalkeeper training similar to the college training environment. Equipment Needs: Cleats (turfs if desired), shin-guards, regular running shoes to wear during down time or indoor, a ball & water.
