EDINBORO, Pa. -- The Ohio wrestling team (1-2, 0-1 MAC) came away with a split at the Boro Duals this afternoon at McComb Fieldhouse, bouncing back from a 25-7 setback to Mid-American Conference foe Edinboro (5-1, 2-0 MAC) by rolling to a 46-0 shutout of Long Island (1-8).

Redshirt sophomore Alec Hagan (Eureka, Mo.) and redshirt junior Joe Terry (Pickerington, Ohio) each won both of their bouts.

After the Bobcats fell behind the Fighting Scots, 9-0, after three-straight losses by decision, Hagan got Ohio go on the board with a 10-2 win by decision over Edinboro redshirt senior Tyler Vath at 149 pounds. Terry then cut Ohio's deficit to 12-7 when he came away with a 5-3 win by decision at 165 over redshirt sophomore Derek Ciavarro. That's as close as the Bobcats got, though, as the Fighting Scots came away with victories in the final four bouts of the match.

Ohio bounced back in a big way against Long Island, though, winning all 10 weight classes with three wins by fall and two more by technical fall.

Redshirt freshman Giovanni DiSabato (Hilliard, Ohio) set the tone at 125 with a 20-5 win by technical fall over junior Hunter Scutellaro. After redshirt junior Mario Guillen (Perrysburg, Ohio) posted a 7-4 win by decision over freshman Michael Blando at 141, redshirt senior Shakur Laney (Canal Winchester, Ohio) earned a 25-9 victory by technical fall over freshman Adam Barker. Hagan then made quick work of sophomore Jacob Zuller, producing a pin in just 35 seconds. Redshirt senior Kade Kowalski (Nashport, Ohio) made it a 22-0 lead for Ohio through five bouts when he notched a 2-0 win by decision over freshman Xavier Pommells at 157.

Terry logged his second victory over the afternoon when he won by medical forefeit over sophomore Mike Parrish. Sophomore Logan Stanley (Fredericksburg, Ohio) made it two falls for the Bobcats when he pinned senior Jesse Weiner in 4:36 at 174. After redshirt sophomore Mason Kroening (Aurora, Ill.) picked up a 5-2 win by decision over senior Dan McClure at 184, redshirt junior Jake Walker (Sarasota, Fla.) pinned sophomore Dan Shafran in 6:08 at 197 for Ohio's third and final fall of the match. Redshirt freshman Jordan Earnest (Wadsworth, Ohio) then clinched Ohio's 10th win of the match by way of a 3-1 decision over sophomore Tim Nagosky.

Up next for Ohio is the Navy Classic, which will take place next Saturday (Nov. 23) in Annapolis, Md.
