Ohio Wrestling to Compete in Boro Duals on Saturday

ATHENS, Ohio -- The Ohio wrestling team (0-1) is headed to the state of Pennsylvania to take part in the Boro Duals on Saturday (Nov. 16) at McComb Fieldhouse in Edinboro, Pa. The Bobcats will take on host Edinboro (3-1, 1-0 MAC) at 10 a.m. ET, then match up against Long Island (1-5) 10 minutes after the conclusion of the day's matches. The action will be streamed live on FloWrestling.

The Bobcats are coming off of a 24-16 setback to No. 21-ranked Campbell last Sunday (Nov. 10) at the Convocation Center. Four Bobcats won their bouts against the Camels, with redshirt junior Mario Guillen (Perrysburg, Ohio) notching a 3-1 win by decision at 133 pounds, redshirt sophomore Alec Hagan (Eureka, Mo.) earning a 16-3 major decision victory at 149, sophomore Logan Stanley (Fredericksburg, Ohio) registering a pin at 174 and junior Aaron Naples (Brunswick, Ohio) logging a 7-0 win by decision at 197.

Ohio will be opening the Mid-American Conference portion of its schedule when it takes on Edinboro (3-1, 1-0 MAC) on Saturday. The Fighting Scots will be competing in their second MAC match after joining the conference as part of the league's historic seven-program expansion last March. Edinboro opened the 2019-20 regular season with a 29-6 MAC road win at Kent State on Nov 2. The Fighting Scots most recently competed last Friday (Nov. 8), falling to Wisconsin, 28-15.

After taking on Edinboro, the Bobcats will battle LIU. The Sharks own a 1-5 record so far in 2019-20.

Four Bobcats enter the weekend ranked in the November MAC coaches individual weight class rankings. Guillen is now ranked third at 133, Hagan remains  ranked fifth at 149, redshirt junior Joe Terry (Pickerington, Ohio) is now ranked fifth at 165 and senior Hunter Yeargan (Willard, Mo.) is still ranked sixth at 184 pounds.

Following the Boro Duals, Ohio will take part in the Navy Classic next Saturday (Nov. 23) in Annapolis, Md.
