ATHENS, Ohio -- The Ohio wrestling team's 2019-20 schedule was released today, as announced by 23rd-year head coach Joel Greenlee.
"I'm excited about it," said Greenlee of Ohio's schedule. "I think we have a pretty solid young team. Our goal as coaches is to put our guys in front of ranked opponents every week, and I think they have that opportunity this year. I'm looking forward to a great year from our guys."
Ohio opens up the new campaign with a trip to East Lansing, Mich., for the Michigan State Open (Nov. 2). "The Parkersburg area is probably the hotbed of wrestling in West Virginia," said Greenlee. "We've had a few kids from West Virginia. They come to our camps. It'll be a packed house and a fun dual meet and atmosphere for our guys."
The Bobcats will close out the second month of the season at the Midlands Classic (Dec. 29-30) in Chicago.
