PITTSBURGH -- The Ohio wrestling team concluded its season on the second day of the 2019 NCAA Championships this morning at PPG Paints Arena.
Competing in the wrestle-back second round at 141 pounds, senior Cameron Kelly (Bellbrook, Ohio) suffered a loss by fall in 46 seconds to Wisconsin redshirt junior Tristan Moran.
In his second-straight appearance at nationals and third overall, Kelly went 1-2. The No. 12 seed at 141 pounds, earned a 6-4 win by decision over North Carolina redshirt junior A.C. Headlee, the No. 21 seed, courtesy of a late takedown in the third period on Friday (March 21) afternoon. On Friday evening, Kelly fell to Missouri redshirt junior Jaydin Eierman, the No. 5 seed, by a 10-8 decision in the round of 16.
Kelly finished his senior campaign for the Bobcats with an overall record of 20-5.
