STATE COLLEGE, Pa. –The Ohio women's golf team wrapped up play at the 2019 Nittany Lion Invitational on Sunday (Sept. 22) at the 6,322 yard Penn State Blue Course. The Bobcats finished the tournament in 12th place after shooting a 324 to give them a three-round total of 956 (+92).
Leading Ohio was sophomore Catherine Loftus (Roswell, Ga.) who finished tied for 37th place after finishing Sunday with an 84, giving her a tournament total of 232 (+16).
Next, sophomore Alicia Porvasnik (Hinckley, Ohio) finished the tournament in 58th place after finishing Sunday with a 79, giving her a three-round total of 240 (+24). Freshman Avery Ovens (Wiloughby Hills, Ohio) finished the Nittany Lion Invitational tied for 59th place after recording an 81. Ovens finished the weekend with an overall score of 242 (+26).
Freshman Maria Howard (Dublin, Ohio) wrapped up the weekend in 70th place, finishing Sunday with an 80, giving her a three-round total of 251 (+35). Junior Ashley Flynn (Dublin, Ohio) wrapped up the tournament in 71st place, finishing the day with a 90, giving her a two-day total of 251 (+36).
Up next, the Bobcats will head to the Shirley Spork Invitational on Sept. 30-Oct. 1, 2019, hosted by Eastern Michigan in Ypsilanti, Mich.
