ATHENS, Ohio– The Ohio Women's Golf team has released its 2019 spring tournament schedule, head coach Kelly Ovington announced today (Jan. 11). The Bobcats will compete seven times during the spring season.
The Bobcats will open the season Saturday, Feb. 2 at the 2019 Spring Challenge Cup. The competition between Ohio and Bowling Green will take place in Lakewood Ranch, Fla., with the 36-hole tournament taking place at the Legacy Golf Club.
Ohio will stay in Lakewood Ranch, Fla. for the 2019 Mid-American Match Play Challenge Feb. 4-5. The 72-hole event, hosted by Bowling Green, will take place at the Royal Lakes Course at the Lakewood Ranch Country Club.
The Bobcats return to action Feb. 22-24 at the 2019 Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Western Michigan, in Rio Verde, Ariz. The 54-hole event will take place at the Quail Run Course at the Rio Verde Country Club.
Ohio will then head to the 2019 Spring Break Shootout, hosted by Western Kentucky and Florida Golf Coast, March 11-12 in Dade City, Fla. The 54-hole event will take place at the Lake Jovita Golf Club.
The Bobcats will return to the course March 29-30 at the 2019 Lady Colonel Classic hosted by Eastern Kentucky. The 54-hole tournament will take place at the Arlington Golf Course in Richmond, Ky.
The 2019 Dolores Black Falcon Invitational will be the final tune-up for the Bobcats before the Mid-American Conference Tournament. The 36-hole tournament, hosted by Bowling Green, will take place at the Stone Ridge Golf Club, April 6-7, in Bowling Green, Ohio.
The Bobcats will wrap up the season at the 2019 MAC Tournament April 19-21 in Noblesville, Ind. This year's tournament is hosted by Central Michigan, with the 54-hole event taking place at the Purgatory Golf Club.
