Rebecca Gaddy joined Ohio University in the fall of 2023 as the serves as the Director of Athletics Communications. Gaddy currently oversees communications efforts for volleyball, women's basketball, cross country/track & field and baseball. 

Having served as a Communications/Public Relations Postgraduate Intern at the Georgia Tech Athletic Association, Gaddy demonstrated her versatility by assuming the role of primary sports information director for multiple teams, including men’s tennis, track & field/cross country, and swim & dive. Her responsibilities extended beyond traditional PR duties, as she actively engaged with social media platforms, coordinated media events, and contributed to the enhancement of program history and records.  

Prior to her tenure at Georgia Tech, Gaddy excelled as a Jack Grinold Athletic Communications Intern at Northeastern. Here, she showcased her creativity by utilizing Adobe Photoshop and InDesign to craft captivating graphics and record books. Gaddy's adeptness in social media management was evident as she leveraged platforms like Twitter Livecut to deliver real-time coverage of various sporting events. 

Her journey at Northeastern began during her co-op experience with the communication department. She provided vital support for men’s basketball, women’s hockey, and track and field teams. Gaddy's commitment to excellence was evident as she developed relationships with media personnel, wrote press releases, and contributed to game day operations. 

In addition to her hands-on experience, Gaddy has also demonstrated her writing excellence as a staff writer for Red & Black, Northeastern’s esteemed athletics magazine. Through her articles, she has provided insightful perspectives on various sports-related topics, showcasing her ability to engage and inform readers. As a student-athlete, Gaddy played field hockey at Northeastern from 2017-2021.

Gaddy received her bachelor’s degree and from Northeastern University in 2022. Gaddy resides in Athens.
