Ebony Pegues joined the Ohio women’s basketball staff in 2021 as the Director of Basketball Operations.

In 2024-25, Pegues helped Watkins become an All-MAC Third Team honoree. The entire staff helped the Bobcats achieve several individual milestones this season. Head coach Bob Boldon earned his 200th win at Ohio and Watkins achieved the 1,000 point milestone.
 
In 2023-24, Pegues assisted Ohio in its return to the MAC tournament. The Bobcats finished the season with an 11-19 overall record and eight conference wins. Ohio has three players selected to receive All-MAC honors. Jaya McClure and Kennedi Watkins were named All-MAC honorable mention and Bailey Tabeling was selected for the MAC All-Freshman team.
 
2022-23 saw Pegues help Ohio place two players on the All-MAC teams, with Yaya Felder making the second team and Jaya McClure earning a spot on the All-Freshman team.
 
In 2021-22, Pegues was part of the staff that helped Cece Hooks become the MAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year and be honored as a member of the All-MAC first team and All-Defensive team. Two other Bobcats, Erica Johnson and Gabby Burris, were selected for the All-MAC third team and as an All-MAC honorable mention, respectively. Ohio made the WNIT in 2021-22 and finished with a 15-15 overall record.
 
From 2008-10, Pegues served as an assistant coach at Akron. She also spent several years coaching in the All-Ohio AAU program.
 
Pegues played collegiately at Massachusetts, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in sport management.
