Ohio Men's Golf Finishes Eighth at Grandover Collegiate

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Ohio men's golf team finished in 8th place at the Grandover Collegiate with a combined team total score of 925 (+61). After shooting rounds of 308 (+20) and 307 (+19) on Sunday (Oct. 27), the Bobcats recorded a final-round 310 (+22) today at Grandover Resort.

Tournament host UNC Greensboro won the Grandover Collegiate by nine strokes with a combined team total score of 876 (-12). The Spartans tallied rounds of 288 (+0), 296 (+8) and 292 (+4). Junior Nick Lyerly of UNCG earned medalist honors with a 213 (-3). He notched rounds of 69 (-3), 73 (+1) and 71 (-1).

Junior Zach Mandry (Solon, Ohio) recorded the highest finish of the tournament for Ohio, finishing in 10th place with a 220 (+4). He shot rounds of 74 (+2), 71 (-1) and 75 (+3).

Junior Tanner Johnson (Venetia, Pa) carded a 232 (+16), tying him for 39th. He logged rounds of 78 (+6), 80 (+8) and 74 (+2).

Junior Zach Crawford (Vandalia, Ohio) finished in a tie for 59th place with a 237 (+21). He posted round scores of 76 (+4), 76 (+4) and 85 (+13).

Junior Austin Dyson (Dublin, Ohio) tied for 65th with a 240 (+24), tallying rounds of 80 (+8), 84 (+12) and 76 (+4).

Freshman Felipe Darquea (Quito, Ecuador) placed 71st with a 245 (+29). After shooting rounds of 80 (+8) and 84 (+12) on the first day of competition, he shot an 81 (+9) in the final round.

Freshman Joshua Dinouard (Vevey, Switzerland) finish in 75th with a toal score of 248 (+32). During competition he shot rounds of 81 (+9), 80 (+8), and 87 (+15).

With the conclusion of the Grandover Collegiate, Ohio has completed the fall portion of its 2019-20 schedule. The Bobcats will return to the links March 9-10, 2020, for the The Challenge at Concession in Bradenton, Fla.
