GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Ohio men's golf team is tied for seventh place with VCU after recording a combined total team score of 615 (+39) over the first two rounds of the Grandover Collegiate, which were contested today at Grandover Resort. The Bobcats improved upon on a first-round 308 (+20) with a second-round 307 (+19).
Tournament host UNCG is in first place with a combined total team score of 584 (+8). The Spartans tallied rounds of 288 (E) and 296 (+8). Rutgers senior Tony Jiang is pacing the field with a two-round total of 140 (-4) after shooting rounds of 71 (-1) and 69 (-3).
Junior Zach Mandry (Solon, Ohio) is leading the way for Ohio, sitting in a tie for eighth place with a 145 (+1). After carding a 74 (+2) in the first round, Mandry moved up 17 spots on the leaderboard thanks to a second-round 71 (-1).
Junior Zach Crawford (Vandalia, Ohio) is tied for 29th with a two-round total of 152 (+8) after shooting two rounds of 76 (+4).
Junior Tanner Johnson (Venetia, Pa.) is tied for 54th place with a 158 (+14). He posted round scores of 78 (+6) and 80 (+8).
Freshman Joshua Dinouard (Vevey, Switzerland) shot rounds of 81 (+9) and 80 (+8) and is tied for 65th with a two-round total of 161 (+17).
Junior Austin Dyson (Dublin, Ohio) and freshman Felipe Darquea (Quito, Ecuador) are tied for 71st place with two-round totals of 164 (+20). Both followed up first-round 80s (+8) with second-round 84s (+12).
The third and final round of the Grandover Collegiate will take place on Tuesday (Oct. 28).
