BURLINGTON, N.C. -- The Ohio men's golf team is tied for fifth place through two rounds of the Phoenix Intercolleigate, which were contested today at Alamance Country Club. The Bobcats are tied with George Mason with a combined two-round total team score of 566 (-2), following up a first-round 281 with a second-round 285.

Drexel and Morehead State are tied for first place with matching combined two-round totals of 555 (-13).

Junior Austin Dyson (Dublin, Ohio) has led the way for Ohio through two rounds, sitting in a tie for sixth place with a 136 (-6) after carding rounds of 65 (-6) and 71 (E). His first-round 65 marked the best of his collegiate career to date.

Junior Zach Mandry (Solon, Ohio) tallied round scores of 70 (-1) and 69 (-2), giving him a two-round total of 139 (-3) and putting him in a tie for 13th.

Junior Zach Crawford (Vandalia, Ohio) is tied for 31st with a 143 (+1). He improved on a first-round 72 (+1) with a second-round 71 (E).

Freshmen Felipe Darquea (Quito, Ecuador) and Jack Towarnicky (New Bern, N.C.) are tied for 87th place with two-round totals of 153 (+11). Darquea shot a 74 (+3) and a 79 (+8) in the second while Towarnicky carded a first-round 79 (+8) and a second-round 74 (+3).

The third and final round of the Phoenix Intercollegiate will take place on Tuesday (Oct. 15).
