ATHENS, Ohio --
The Ohio men's golf program began a new era on July 9, 2019, with the hiring of  Neal Grusczynski as head coach.

Named the fourth head coach in program history in July, Grusczynski comes to Athens after serving as the director of golf and head men's and women's golf coach at Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee the last three years. Prior to his stint at Cardinal Stritch, Grusczynski served as the assistant coach for both the men's and women's teams at Jacksonville State in 2014-15, then served as the assistant coach at Army in '15-16. He began his coaching career as a volunteer assistant at his alma mater, Xavier.

Grusczynski has two tournaments under his belt as the leader of the Bobcats as Ohio has competed in both the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational and the EKU Intercollegiate Sponsored By Raising Cane's. 'Voice of the Bobcats' Russ Eisenstein caught up with Grusczynski this week to get to know the new head coach of Ohio men's golf more.

Ohio will close out the month of September and open the month of October in Akron, Ohio, next week (Sept. 30-Oct. 1) at the Firestone Invitational. The Bobcats tied for third at the Firestone Invitational last season.
