SPRINGBORO, Ohio -- The Ohio men's golf team is in 10th place with a total team score of 387 (+37) after completing the first round of the Wright State Invitational today at Heatherwoode Golf Club in Springboro, Ohio. Due to rainy conditions, only one round was played, and the tournament has been shortened from 54 holes to 36.
Wittenberg currently paces the team standings after combining to card a first-round 362 (+12).
Sophomore Austin Dyson (Dublin, Ohio) leads the Bobcats after shooting a 73 (+3) to put him in a tie for 20th. Sophomore Zach Mandry (Solon, Ohio) is tied for 74th after firing a 74 (+4) in the opening round. Sophomore Tanner Johnson (Venetia, Pa.) carded a first-round 76 (+6), tying him for 45th. Sophomore Zach Crawford (Vandalia, Ohio) is tied for 51st after recording a 77 (+7) in the first round. Redshirt junior Michael Kenney (Kent, Ohio) shot a first-round 79 (+9), putting him in a tie for 63rd. Senior Ben Sattler (Liberty Township, Ohio) is currently tied for 71st after shooting an 81 (+11) in the first round.
Northern Kentucky senior Jacob Poore is leading the field after shooting a first-round 66 (-4).
The second and final round of the Wright State Invitational will get underway on Monday (April 15) at 9 a.m. ET.
