2021-22: 2021: Placed 16^th at the Mike Baumer Classic (Sept. 3) with a 5k time of 15:30.9… Finished 19^th at the All-Ohio Cross Country Championship (Sept. 17), clocking a 25:46.6 8k… Had a season-best 8k time of 24:24.9 at the Louisville Cross Country Classic (Oct. 2)… Finished 14^th overall at the PSU National Open (Oct. 15) with a 8k time of 26:04.4… Finished seventh overall at the MAC Championships (Oct. 30) with a 8k time of 24:34.6…. Finished third for the Bobcats at the 2022 NCAA Great Lakes Regional (Nov. 12) with a 10k time of 31:13.5… All-MAC First Team.
 
2020-21: Finished seventh at the Cardinal Classic… Posted a season-best time of 25:18.2 at the MAC Championships for 27^thplace.

2019-20: Ran a career-best 5K time of 16:00.6 to finish 33rd at the 37th Annual Queen City Invitational ... Took 17th at the Tommy Evans Invitational in 20:27.9 ... Clocked a career-best 8K time of 25:05.6 at the Louisville Classic ... Crossed the finish line in 26:56.0 at the MAC Championships.

2018-19: Finished seventh at the All-Ohio Collegiate Championships in 26:05.7.

2017-18: Made his freshman debut at the Kentucky Bluegrass Invitational where he posted a season-best 8K time of 25:54.8 … Ended the season at the Adidas DI Pre-Nationals and clocked in a time of 26:50.8.

Prior to Ohio: Earned varsity letters in cross country and track under coach Randy McKinney at Eaton High School ... Named cross country captain for the 2015 and '16 seasons ... Was a two-time League cross country champion and three-time cross country state qualifier ... Helped his team to become the district runner-ups in cross country in 2013 and '17.

Personal: Son of Ron and Angela Gard ... Has two brothers, Nathan and Bradley ... Enjoys hiking and kayaking.
