Biography

2023: Started all 16 games for the Bobcats… Totaled 45 points on the season from 18 goals and nine assists… Lead the MAC and Bobcats in goals, assists, and points… Third in the NCAA in points per game… Fifth in the NCAA in goals per game… 14th in the NCAA in assists per game… Career-highs in goals, assosts, points, shots, shots on goal, shot on goal percentage, and game-winning goals… Through first four games, had already gained 11 total points, including both goals in a 2-1 victory over Boston (Sept. 2), including the game-winner… Played back-to-back games where she scored two goals in a 3-2 win over Kent State (Sept. 22) and Ohio State (Sept. 24)… Scored a goal and added two assists in a 7-0 win over Longwood (Sept. 29)… Recorded a defensive save on top of a goal against Wake Forest (Oct. 8)… Had a season-high seven shots on goal, adding two more goals in a 5-0 win at Central Michigan (Oct. 13)… On Senior Night, scored a career-high five goals against Bellarmine (Oct. 20), adding two assists for a total of 12 points in one game, a Bobcat record… Notched her eighth and ninth assists against Appalachian State (Oct. 27)… Scored her 18th goal against Davidson… Named Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Year for 2023… Named All-West Region First Team… Named All-MAC First Team… Named MAC Offensive Player of the Week twice, the first coming Sept. 5 after having seven points in two games… Second Offensive Player of the Week came Oct. 24 after Whittle put up 12 points in a single game with five goals... Named Academic All-MAC.

2022: Appeared in and started all 17 games for the Bobcats… Registered seven goals and two assists on the season for a total of 16 points… Had the game-winning goal paired with another goal in a 4-0 victory over Bellarmine (Oct. 21)… Scored a hat-trick with an assist in the second game of the season against Central Michigan in a 5-2 victory (Sept. 2)… Scored two more goals against Longwood (Sept. 23) and Central Michigan (Oct. 14)… Career highs in total shots, shots on goal, and minutes played… Named Second Team All-MAC… Named MAC Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 6 and Oct. 25 …Named Academic All-MAC.

2021: Played and started in all 19 matches for the Bobcats... Was second on the team with 10 goals... Recorded two hat tricks, on Sept. 11 against Saint Louis and Oct. 8 against Bellarmine... Recorded one defensive save... Named Second Team All-MAC.

2020-21*: Played in 13 matches for the Bobcats, starting 12 of them… Was second on team with five goals and three assists… Recorded a goal and an assist against Longwood on Apr. 12…Made a goal and had an assist in win against Bellarmine on Apr. 25… Tallied 13 points with a .778 shots on goal percentage… Named Academic All-MAC.

2019: Played in all 16 matches for the Bobcats… Scored four goals on the season against Drexel, Lock Haven, Kent State, and Central Michigan…Tallied eight points and a .714 shot on goal percentage.

Prior to Ohio: Earned four varsity letters for field hockey under coach Denise Wolf at McDonogh School… Played in 54 games, scored 34 goals and added 20 assists for 88 points… Captained the team from 2017-2019… Received the McDonogh Field Hockey Award and McDonogh Golden Eagle Award… Named Mary All State Honorable Mention and IAAM All Conference Field Hockey… IAAM Field Hockey Conference Champions in 2016… Team Ranked Top 20 in the nation… Also played for Baltimore Stix (2014-18) and Freedom HKY (2018, 2019)

Personal: Born January 3, 2001… Daughter of Jeffery and Annie Whittle… Sister of Shane, Megan, and Liam…Her sister, Megan, played lacrosse for the University of Maryland… Named to the honor roll (2015-19)… Received the Jill Bearman Award (2018)… Participated in tap dancing, lifeguarding, and volunteering… Enjoys painting, traveling, and spending time with family… Favorite athlete is Alex Ovechkin… Favorite team are the Washington Capitals… Plans on majoring in Biological Sciences.
