ATHENS, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced Monday that Ohio sophomore quarterback Nathan Rourke had been named the MAC East Offensive Player of the Week following his play at Bowling Green.
It marked the second such award for Rourke this season and it was the fourth time this season Ohio has had a player of the week.
Rourke rushed for 143 yards to lead Ohio and scored three rushing touchdowns in the Bobcats 48-30 win against the Falcons. He also threw for 105 going 7-22.
Rourke had a career-long 75-yard rush for a touchdown and also moved into seventh place on Ohio's single-season rushing touchdown list, with 12 this season, which is tied for second in the country and first among quarterbacks.
Rourke leads the MAC with 19 total touchdowns which ranks seventh nationally. This marked the third time this season Rourke has rushed for three touchdowns and the third straight game Rourke has eclipsed 100 rushing yards.
Ohio returns to action hosting Kent State on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. ET.
