OHIO-BOWLING GREEN SERIES
Ohio trails Bowling Green 26-40-2 in the all-time series which dates back to the 1945 season. Ohio beat Bowling Green 30-24 snapping a four game winning streak by the Falcons in the series, on Oct. 8, 2016 at Peden Stadium. In the Bobcats last trip to Bowling Green, the Falcons took a 62-24 win over the Bobcats on Nov. 11, 2015. Head coach Frank Solich is currently 5-7 all-time against BG.

- RS SO Maleek Irons had two rushing touchdowns in the first half for Ohio
- RS SO Maleek Irons totaled 74 yards for the game. His longest rush was for 30 yards and he averaged 6.4 yards.
- Ohio was 4-4 in red zone efficiency, earning 27 points throughout the game.
- RS SR Greg Windham was 20-27 in passing, threw for 190 yards, and recorded one TD and one INT.
- RS FR Quinton Maxwell made a brief appearance for Ohio, going 1-2 in passing and earning 13 yards.
- Ohio recorded three touchdowns and one field goal in the first half.
- SR Sebastian Smith was the top receiver for the Bobcats and recorded five receptions for 72 total yards and one touchdown. He averaged 14.4 yards and was targeted seven times.

RS junior running back A.J. Ouellete has hit 100-yards for three out of the last four weeks with rushing performances of 102 - Kansas, 140 - Eastern Michigan and 125 against UMass. Ouellette now leads the Mid-American Conference averaging 88.8 rushing yards per game. Ouellette has three rushing touchdowns and is averaging 6.3 yards per carry for 533 total rush yards this season. Sophomore quarterback Nathan Rourke has hit 100-yards rushing the last two games with 118 yards at UMass and 105 against CMU last weekend.
The Bobcats rank eighth in the country converting 50.5% of their third down attempts and are ninth in fourth down conversion (80%), Ohio is ranked 13th in the country in red zone offense, scoring 93.5% of the time in the Red Zone, their percentage also leads the Mid-American Conference. The Bobcats are 19th in the nation in punt return defense at 2.33, which ranks fourth in the MAC. Ohio is 23rd in scoring offense averaging 38.3 points per game which is second in the MAC behind Western Michigan (42.8). Individually, Ohio RS senior cornerback Bradd Ellis is third in the NCAA averaging 1.8 passes defended per game, which leads the MAC. Sophomore quarterback Nathan Rourke is fourth in the country and first in the MAC with nine rushing touchdowns while ranking 17th in scoring and 24th in points responsible for per game. Ohio RS junior running back A.J. Ouellette is 20th in the country with 533 rushing yards.
Ohio's rushing defense ranks second in the MAC and has held opponents to 113.0 yards per game and six rushing touchdowns. Ohio has held its opponents to under 70-yards rushing three times this season. Hampton had 47, EMU had 45 and Central Michigan had 68. Opponents are averaging just 3.3 yards per carry against the Bobcats.
FINDING THE ENDZONE
Ohio sophomore quarterback Nathan Rourke has made a habit of finding the end zone with nine rushing touchdowns and seven passing TDs this season. Rourke leads the MAC in scoring touchdowns averaging 9.0 per game.
Ohio has had some solid play this season out of its two starting corners - RS senior Bradd Ellis and RS junior Jalen Fox have started all six games at corner for the Bobcats. Ellis ranks third in the country and leads the MAC with 11 passes defended (breakups + interceptions) while Fox is 50th in the country and third in the MAC with seven passes defended.
Ohio RS senior linebacker Chad Moore has picked off a pass in each of the last two games leading the Bobcats. Moore has doubled his total interception output with four career picks so far. Moore is second on the team with 38 tackles including 19 solo stops. He has two pass breakups, three tackles for loss and a sack.
CAREER DAY FOR POLING
Poling had a career day with 19 tackles against UMass while also hitting a career-high nine solo stops. Poling was one of two players with double-digit tackles as Chad Moore also had 12 tackles.
SCOUTING BOWLING GREEN
Bowling Green is coming off its first win of the season, 37-29 over Miami. Bowling Green is 1-5 overall with 1-1 mark in the Mid-American Conference and a 0-2 record at home. Mike Jinks is in his second season as the head coach of the Falcons, owning a 5-13 record at BG.
Bowling Green is averaging 19.5 points per game and 366.8 yards of total offense which ranks 10th and eighth, respectively, in the Mid-American Conference. BG is averaging 103.2 yards per game on the ground and 236.7 through the air. Josh Cleveland leads the Falcons averaging 67.7 rushing yards per game and has two rushing touchdowns. James Morgan has taken the most snaps for the squad going 73-159 with four interceptions and seven passing touchdowns. He has 1,007 yards passing with an average of 201.4 per game. The top target has been Scott Miller who has caught 31 passes for 306 yards with two touchdown. Teo Redding is second on the squad with 27 targets for 419 yards and three touchdowns.
BG has given up an average of 34.3 points per game to its opponents and is allowing 528.2 yards of total offense including 296.3 through the air and 231.8 on the ground. BG ranks last in the MAC in total defense. Linebacker Brandon Harris leads the falcons with 46 total tackles including 33 tackles for loss. He has three fumble recoveries for 123 return yards, including the deciding score against Miami last week, a 93-yard return. Linebacker Nate Locke is second on the squad with 45 tackles including 18 solo stops while linebacker Armani Posey is third on the team with 42 stops and 22 solo hits.
Ohio dropped a 26-23 loss to CMU last weekend snapping a three game winning streak. Ohio is off to a 4-2 start and is 2-1 on the road.
Ohio is averaging 38.3 points per game, which ranks second in the MAC and Ohio's 410.5 per game total offense ranks fourth in the MAC. Ohio is averaging 212.7 yards on the ground and 197.8 through the air. Redshirt junior running back A.J. Ouellette leads Ohio's rushing attack with 88.8 yards per game and three touchdowns. Ouellette is averaging 6.3 yards per carry which leads the MAC. Sophomore quarterback Nathan Rourke has gone 82-135 for 973 yards with seven passing touchdowns, nine rushing touchdowns and one interception. RS senior wide receiver Brendan Cope is leading the team with 25 catches averaging 13.6 per reception and has 341 yards and two receiving touchdowns.
Ohio is holding its opposition to 28.3 points per game and 389.0 yards of total offense per game including 113.0 on the ground and 276.0 through the air. Redshirt senior linebacker Quentin Poling leads the Bobcats with 53 tackles and 22 solo stops so far this season. Poling has 4.0 tackles for loss and a half sack on the season with two forced fumbles. RS senior linebacker Chad Moore is second on the squad with 35 tackles and 19 solo stops. Moore also has one sack and three tackles for loss with two interception and two pass breakups. Ellis has 10 pass breakups and one interception while Fox has six pass breakups with one interception.
AN OHIO WIN WOULD...

HAULING IN THE TDS
RS senior tight end Troy Mangen had two receiving touchdowns for the first time in his career against Kansas, catching three passes for 35 yards and two scores.
Ohio's OT win over Eastern Michigan was the first overtime win since Ohio beat North Texas in double-overtime, Sept. 12, 2009, 31-30. It was Ohio's first overtime game since the opener last season, when Ohio dropped a 56-53 triple-overtime thriller to Texas State.
Ohio used just one quarterback for the first time this season when Nathan Rourke took each snap under center for the Bobcats. Rourke was 19-31 and threw two touchdown passes in OT to lead the Bobcats in the win. Rourke is averaging 158 yards per game passing and has gone 52-81 for 632 yards so far this season. He has also rushed for 74 yards and has 706 yards of total offense this season.
IN THE RED ZONE
Ohio has been very successful this season in the red zone scoring on 26 of its 27 trips (96.3%) inside the 20, including 22 touchdowns (85%). That percentage sits atop the Mid-American Conference and ranks the Bobcats 13th nationally, with 17 teams log-jammed for the top spot. Last season, Ohio converted on 82% of its trips to the red zone (49-60) and scored touchdowns 45% (27-60) of the time.
