ATHENS, Ohio – Ohio sophomore quarterback Nathan Rourke (Ontario, Canada) was named Mid-American Conference East Offensive Player of the Week today following his performance against Hampton last Saturday.
In his first division I game, Rourke went 6-10 for 72 yards and a long of 23 while rushing six times for 55 yards and scoring three rushing touchdowns to lead Ohio to a 59-0 win over Hampton at Peden Stadium.
Ohio racked up 420 yards of total offense and Rourke was the first Bobcat to rush for three or more touchdowns since Beau Blankenship in 2012.
