ATHENS, Ohio –Ohio soccer is back in action twice this coming week as they take on their second-straight ACC opponent in Pitt, while volleyball takes the court in the Convo for their lone exhibition match of the preseason. The Bobcats season continues this week as Ohio soccer (1-1-0) heads to Pittsburgh, Pa. on Thursday, Aug. 21 to take on their second-straight ACC opponent when they take on Pitt (2-0-0). First touch is set for 5 p.m. ET at Ambrose Urbanic Field and can be seen on the ACCNX. Ohio then returns to Chessa Field on Sunday, Aug. 24 when the Bobcats host Marshall (1-0-0). First touch is set for 4 p.m. ET and can be seen on ESPN+.
Pitt is currently 2-0 to open the season and is coming off wins against Xavier and Monmouth. Katie Ellermeyer leads the Panthers with two goals and four points, while keepers Ellie Breech and Abby Reisz have split time in goal over the first two matches. Marshall is currently 1-0 after defeating Morehead State to open the season. The Herd will host Glenville State before heading to Athens on Sunday.
Ohio opened the season 1-1-0 after defeating Western Kentucky on Thursday, before falling to Clemson, 1-0, on Sunday in Athens. Senior goalkeeper Celeste Sloma started both games, playing 180 total minutes. She allowed one goal on seven attempt, while making six saves for a .857 save percentage, while junior Anna Burchett led the Offense. Burchett scored one goal on five shots with one on goal. She added two points. She recorded a .250 shot percentage and a .600 shot on goal percentage in 137 minutes on the pitch.
VOLLEYBALL

Ohio volleyball takes the court in the Convo for the first time this season for an exhibition match against Marshall on Friday, Aug. 22. First serve is set for 6 p.m. and admission is free to all fans.
The team will also be hosting an open practice for fans on Thursday, August 21 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Fans will have the opportunity to meet the team afterwards and get autographs.
The Bobcats open the 2025 season with the 2025 Bobcat Invitational Aug. 29-31 in Athens. The three-day tournament will see Iowa State, Bucknell and Eastern Illinois take the trip to Athens. If you have not done do, you can purchase tickets here.
