ST. LOUIS – The Ohio women's basketball team (2-6, 0-0 MAC) fell 96-52 at Saint Louis (4-7, 0-0 A10) on Sunday, Dec. 15.
Three Bobcats finished with double figures. Sophomore
Bailey Tabeling (Seymour, Ind.) led the team in scoring with 15 points. Senior
Kennedi Watkins (Ballwin, Mo.) and freshman
Danni Scully (Park Ridge, Ill.) scored 11 points each, a new career-high for Scully.
Watkins grabbed a team-high nine rebounds, four were offensive and five were defensive. Sophomore
Asiah Baxter (Indianapolis, Ind.) recorded a career-high seven rebounds and senior
Aja Austin (Westerville, Ohio) added four.
Tabeling tallied a team-high three steals and Watkins led the team in assists with two total. Senior
Kate Dennis (Rockford, Ill.) finished with two blocks.
The Bobcats got off to a shaky start, allowing the Billikens to take quick control of the game. Despite some good moments, Ohio was unable to catch up with Saint Louis' well-established lead.
The Bobcats will be back in action when they travel to UIC on Sunday, Dec. 22. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. ET and the game will be available to watch on ESPN+.
