DAYTON, Ohio – The Ohio women's basketball team (1-4, 0-0 MAC) fell 68-57 at Wright State (2-4, 0-0 Horizon) on Sunday, Nov. 23.
Senior
Kennedi Watkins (Ballwin, Mo.) was Ohio's top performer of the night as she recorded her first double-double as a Bobcat and fourth of her career. Watkins scored 20 points; finishing eight-for-13 from the field, one-for-three from the arc and three-for-four from the line. She also grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds.
Sophomore
Monica Williams (Indianapolis, Ind.) recorded a career-high 18 points in addition to six rebounds and two steals. Williams finished six-for-15 from the field and six-for-seven from the line.
Sophomore
Asiah Baxter (Indianapolis, Ind.) grabbed a career-high five rebounds. Sophomore
Bailey Tabeling (Seymour, Ind.) led the team in assists with a career-high of four total.
Wright State came out strong and maintained a lead for almost the entire of the game, outscoring Ohio in three of the four quarters. Ohio outperformed the Raiders in the fourth quarter, scoring 14 points to Wright State's nine.
The Bobcats finished with 34 points in the paint and 13 points off turnovers. Ohio recorded 31 rebounds, 10 steals and six assists.
The Bobcats will be back in action when they host Ohio Christian on Tuesday, Dec. 3 in the Convo. Tip-off is set for 11 a.m. ET and the fans will be able to watch on ESPN+.
