ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio women's basketball team (0-2, 0-0 MAC) fell 82-50 to Bellarmine (3-0, 0-0 ASUN) on Sunday, Nov. 10.

Sophomore Bailey Tabeling (Seymour, Ind.) led the team with 17 points in addition to tallying three rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal. Sophomore Asiah Baxter (Indianapolis, Ind.) recorded a career-high 10 points; finishing four-for-five from the field and two-for-three from the arc. Sophomore Monica Williams (Indianapolis, Ind.) grabbed a team-high nine rebounds while graduate student Aliah McWhorter (Cincinnati, Ohio) led the team with three assists and two steals.

After the first quarter, Bellarmine held a 24-21 lead over Ohio. The game started with a bit of a scoring drought on for both teams. The Bobcats were down for majority of the first 10 minutes but found scoring opportunities at the free throw line. Tabeling had a team-high five points at the end of the quarter while Watkins led the team in rebounding with four total.

Bellarmine dominated the second quarter and led Ohio, 52-33 at the end of the first half.

At the end of the third quarter, Ohio trailed Bellarmine 69-45. The Bobcats started the half off strong but were quickly plagued by another scoring drought. Ohio was able to make some stops on defense, but the lack of success on offense made it hard for the team to catch up with the Knights.

Ohio ultimately fell to Bellarmine, 82-50.

The Bobcats will be back in action when they host George Washington on Saturday, Nov. 16 in the Convo. Tip-off is set for 12 p.m. ET and the game will be available to watch on ESPN+.
