Myrtle Beach, SC — Radio coverage
of Ohio Football in the 2023 Myrtle Beach Bowl begins tonight with "Myrtle Beach Bowl Live," a special presentation of the Ohio Sports Network from Learfield. 16th year "Voice of the Bobcats"
Russ Eisenstein and longtime color analyst Rob Cornelius will be live from the radio booth at Brooks Stadium from 6-7 p.m ET. The program airs on six radio network stations. Fans outside of the over-the-air coverage area can listen via "The Varsity Network" app on mobile devices and online on
OhioBobcats.com.
It will be a fast and full hour that will include a rewind of Ohio's season, full one-on-one interviews with graduate linebacker
Bryce Houston (Lewis Center, OH), graduate quarterback
Parker Navarro (Tempe, AZ), and graduate wide receiver
Sam Wiglusz (Brecksville, Ohio), highlights from previous bowl games, a breakdown on the matchup with Georgia Southern, and much more. The show continues the tradition of live special programming from big events in Ohio Athletics.
"For every bowl game Ohio has played in during my time as the 'Voice of the Bobcats,' we've done a special show leading up to the game," said Eisenstein. "It's been such a fun campaign to cover, and we want to make sure fans can experience this trip through our content. We look forward to an hour of 'infotainment' tonight to get ready for our broadcast on gameday."
The Bobcats and Eagles play at 11 a.m. ET on Saturday. "Bobcat Gameday, presented by Bud Light" starts radio coverage at 10 a.m. ET. The game will be televised on ESPN.
