ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio men's basketball team hosted Otterbein in an exhibition on Thursday night (Nov. 2) in the Convocation Center, defeating the Cardinals, 67-49.
Senior guard
Jaylin Hunter (Manchester, Conn.) led Ohio with 13 points, four rebounds and three assists, while sophomore guard
AJ Brown (Orlando, Fla.) added 10 points, seven rebounds and two steals. Graduate student guard
Shereef Mitchell (Omaha, Ned.) added eight points and two steals to go along with sophomore guard
Elmore James' (Cleveland, Ohio) eight points and seven boards.
Senior center
Gabe Wiznitzer (Walhalla, S.C.), sophomore forward
Aidan Hadaway (Lafayette, Ga.) and junior forward
AJ Clayton (Roseville, Ohio) all added six boards for the Bobcats.
For Otterbein, the Cardinals were led by Cam Evans with 14 points and five rebounds, while Julian Heckman added 13 points and six boards.
The Bobcats open the season for real on Wednesday, Nov. 8 when Ohio hosts Troy in the MAC/Sun Belt Challenge. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. inside the Convocation Center and can be seen on ESPN+.
