ATHENS, Ohio --It's officially MAC Championship Week! As football prepares to head to Detroit, both men's and women's basketball teams are back in action, while Volleyball is set to host the first two rounds of the Women's NIVC Tournament here in Athens. Check out what's ahead for Ohio Athletics in this week's Paw Prints.
FOOTBALL

The Ohio football team (9-3, 7-1 MAC) travel to Detroit, Mich. on Saturday, Dec. 3 for the Mid-American Conference Championship against the Toledo Rockets (7-5, 5-3 MAC). Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. ET at Ford Field. The game can be seen on ESPN; Beth Mowins and Kirk Morrins are on the call with Stormy Buonantony on the sideline.
This is the first time Ohio has been to Detroit since 2016, when the Bobcats battled it out with Western Michigan. The Bobcats are looking to collect its first MAC Championship since 1968.

The Ohio men's basketball team (3-3) is back in action this week for two more games. Ohio opens the week on Wednesday, Nov. 30 when they host UC-Clermont. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. inside the Convocation Center and can be seen on ESPN+. The Bobcats are then back on the road this Saturday, Dec. 3 when they take on Marshall (5-1). Tip-off is set for 5 p.m. inside the Cam Henderson Center and can be seen on ESPN+.
Ohio is coming off a 2-0 weekend, picking up wins over Eastern Illinois and Alabama State in the 2022 Bobcat Battle. Senior forward
Ben Roderick was named to the All-Tournament Team, while senior guard
Miles Brown (Rochester, N.Y.) was named the Tournament MVP. Brown also earned MAC Player of the Week honors.

The Ohio women's basketball team (1-4) is back in action for two more matchups this week. Ohio opens the week on Tuesday, Nov. 29 when they head to Dayton, Ohio to take on Dayton (0-6). Tip-off is set to 7 p.m. inside UD Arena and can be seen on ESPN3. Ohio returns to the court on Friday, Dec. 2 when they head to Washington D.C. to take on George Washington (4-4). Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. on ESPN+ inside the Charles E. Smith Center.

The Ohio volleyball team (19-11) is set to compete in the 2022 National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC) and will host rounds one and two of the championship Dec. 1-2 in Athens. The Bobcats will take on Valparaiso (22-10) in round one on Dec. 1. The match will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET and will be streamed on ESPN3 or ESPN+.
The winner of the Ohio vs. Valparaiso match will take on the winner of the Central Michigan vs. Xaiver match on Dec. 1 at 5 p.m. ET in round two. Round two will take place on Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. ET inside the Convocation Center. The winner of round two will go on to compete in the semifinals Dec. 8-11 for a chance to compete in the championships Dec. 11-13.
The championship will feature 32 teams in a single elimination format and will take place Dec. 1-13. This is the fifth year the event has been produced by Triple Crown Sports and will mark the Bobcats first appearance.
